When looking for brake pads, the thing to remember is the 2 letter coefficient of friction rating.
The grade/ratings of brake pads available range from E,F,G through H. Each grade being a 20% step up in friction delivery.
The different ratings offer a pad for all types of riders. Semi-metallic pads and shoes are composed of a nonasbestos, semi-metallic carbon kevlar aramid fiber from Dupont.
These have a dot coefficient of friction (c.F.) Rating of “ff” at 250° and 600°: 0.44-0.45 both temps.
These provide riders with long pad life, low dust and brake disk wear, great stopping power and fade resistance at an economical price.
Full metal are the best selling pads we offer. This is a high- density material consisting of copper, carbon, tin, and lead. These have a coefficient of friction rating of “FG”.
More specifically they rate 0.44-0.45 At 250° fand 0.45-0.50 At 600°f. These will provide a longer life than semi-metallic and will outlast most competitors compounds.
They have excellent performance and stability at all temperatures as well as reduced corrosion. Most importantly they perform equally well in wet and dry conditions.
We recommended them for utility, mud, and sand applications.
