Unfortunately it relies on a magneto-type ignition system that can cause hard starting due to weak spark at starting RPM, and is prone to source coil failure on the stator which can leave you stranded with no easy fix. The RMSTATOR RMS030-107722 DC conversion CDI box solves all of those problems. It offers a plug and play installation, and powers your ignition system directly from the battery.
